Great place. Lots of fun for the whole family. Beautiful, clean, large beach. Splash pad, carnival rides and playground for the kids. Volleyball nets set up already. Ice cream and food places. Lots of rest rooms. Big old pool... Hell, they even a gym... Really good place to spend a nice relaxing day with the family. Love it there. Highly recommended. Go during the week if you can. Way less crowded.
I have been going to this beach sense I was a kid. Born in New London so I was close. I think it's too much to get in, they need to update it and the pool is dirty. I gave it 3 stars cause you can have a good time there still. Regardless it's a big beach with a boardwalk, arcade and restaurants
that offers a quick on the spot option. You can always bring your own food. When it started to get crowded we finished the day with ice cream and drove home.
Traveled from Providence, RI to go to this beach and was not disappointed. Great beach/sand, loved the playground and splash pad for kids. Several bathrooms with toilets that flush, soap and running water to wash hands. The sand does drop off rather quickly so paying attention to little ones is important. Nice little spot that's different from the rest.
First time here and was very impressed. The beach was clean, the amenities were clean and staff was polite. Got to the beach early enough for a great spot and to enjoy our time before it got too crowded. The kids enjoyed making sand castles and playing in the water. The snack bar food was made fresh when ordered. I saw reviews that said it was pricey but is comparable to any snackbar at any venue
Great location for relaxing in the summer time. Plenty of parking, with a nice easy walk to the beach. Great view of the sound with many boats going in and out. Beats dealing with the crowds and traffic in Westerly.
