I had lunch here today the spicy miso soup with roast pork it was beyond excellent. I have had lunch here 5 or 6 times in the last year and it was excellent every time i wish there was a coffee house in the Westport area with the unpretentious atmosphere and incredibly great food.Hopefully the chefs and cooks continue to be inspired and keep serving this incredibly great food.
Also the women at the counter aren't rude. They're just people who don't force themselves to smile constantly. If they were dudes there would not be any complaints. I've never been treated badly by them.
Their egg and cheese sandwich is really delicious. I would recommend getting it on one of their homemade bagels. Also, the environment is comfortable and a great spot for bringing a laptop, getting some work done, and enjoying a delicious coffee.
This place has good tea, good sandwiches and good baked goods. The only downside is not all of the cooks do things the same way so sometimes your scone will be nice and browned, other times it'll be doughey inside. Sometimes your bagel sandwich will be toasted outside and inside, other times it'll be a warmed up bagel with some eggs and cheese inside. But most of the time the food is great and the atmosphere is serene.
Washington Street Coffee is my first stop when I come into town and the last when I'm headed out... I only wish I had a place this amazing in my own neck of the woods. Delicious food items always made fresh and usually local and their Coffee/Espresso drinks are top notch
I love, love, LOVE Washington Street Coffee House! It is one of my favorite places to eat! The staff is always warm and welcoming and the food is outrageously delicious. I highly recommend the Miso soup. It's my favorite food in the world!
