If I could give NEGATIVE stars to this office, it wold be a NEGATIVE 5 STARS. I was a patient with this doctor for athe least 5 years. NEVER ONCE did my appointment take more than 5 minutes. The doctor came in, gave me my script for suboxone and said I will see you in 4 weeks. Never once did he council me or offer ANY psychological therapy. Then after being a loyal patient who NEVER missed an appointment or gave a dirty urine,there was a snowstorm and on my way from Clinton in blinding snow (50 mile trip) I called the office to make sure my appointment was still scheduled. They told me Dr Awwa would not be in. No problem. I understood and rescheduled for the following Monday (7 days later). When I showed up for my appointment the desk clerk told me that I was dropped as a patient for missing my last appointment. AFTER AT LEAST 5 YEARS, no phone call, no email no nothing. THEY LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY and I was a model patient. I tried to explain the situation and my words fell on deaf ears. NEVER has any other Doctor or medical firm treated me so poorly and unprofessionally. Coincidentally, my emplyer changed insurance carriers from Blue Cross to United Health care two weeks prior to this happening. My new Dr told me that Blue cross pays substantially more than United Health care. Clearly this firms motivation is to take as much money as possible from you in the shortest amount of time. They could care less about the well being of their patients. THANK GOD I finally found another Dr that spent time to find our about my history of addiction and set me on my road to recovery.
