been riding this ferry for many years. they are always on time and get us to BI safely and quickly. Plus they handled my bicycle this last time with no issues. great job people!
One star for one obvious reason. THEY ALLOW SMOKING ON THE BOAT. Are you kidding me? Nothing against smokers but this company appears to send a clear message that its more important to appease the declining smoking population then to think about the health and comfort of everyone else including all the KIDS. The smokers have one spot they all crowd at right next to the cabin entrance. Then all the smoke billows to deck where everyone sits. Shame on this company for being behind times. And I'm sure people who smoke would be okay with waiting until they arrived.
Like others said, the parking is terrible. When we arrived 11:15am on a Wednesday, the closest parking was in the garage across from the Holiday Inn. The sets are comfortable and it's a great view. Serve food and drinks on board.
I've ridden this ferry several times and the trip over is quite fast - about 1 hr 15 minutes - and smooth. The ferry can be crowded on weekends and holidays so I recommend that you purchase tickets ahead of time.
By accident I was only given 1 ticket instead of two for my round trip purchase. So on my way home, I had to buy two one way tickets. They were extremely accommodating and refunded me the next day no hassle. Great experience.
