I bought a used car, a 2012 Charger R/T Max AWD, from this dealer in September, 2014. At that time, the salesman, Al Morse, told me that the car had been originally purchased and serviced at Secor, had no known mechanical issues or any accident history, a claim buttressed at that time by an AutoCheck report, and, further, that it had been traded in by a local customer who simply wanted a new model Charger.

Secor Dodge Rocks! Thanks for the great service Matt.

In order to verify Secor's assertions, it would be very helpful if they were willing to help me secure a copy of the accident report and or repair order stemming from this or any other "minor" accident that this vehicle was in before I purchased it. I would be happy to trust Mr. Holden and Secor but need to be able to verify the claims that they've made ostensibly on behalf of their other customer who, apparently owns a local auto body and sales company registered with the State of Connecticut.

Be very careful with these people, get everything in writing. I say this as a result of my experience with them as related below.

I can understand Secor's defense of their dealership and admire their loyalty to their other, "reputable" customer. But, in the absence of the production of a copy of the accident report arising from the admitted incident, and one surely exists and is the basis of Carfax's report, I must question the true basis of their apparent and ongoing refusal to help this customer correct a problem not of my making.

Honestly, I would be happy to trust Mr. Holden and Secor on this, but Carfax won't amend their report based on what is at least double hearsay. Nor will any other party offer me anything but a reduced trade in value or purchase price for this car based upon his assertions alone.

Holden further characterized the prior owner is "a reputable local business person" and characterized the damage resulting from the one now admitted prior accident as "minor" reportedly requiring just some repainting of a bumper.

In 36+ years in the business I’ve never gotten a follow up call from any parts department! Usually when I’ve ordered parts from other dealers, any time I’ve asked for a call when the part came in, I wouldn’t get one. I would be told; call us if you don’t hear back.

In early July, 2017 I began considering either selling or trading in this vehicle and, by way of preliminary preparation, performed a Carfax VIN based inquiry as to its value. The resulting report listed a severely reduced value for to this vehicle's due to an accident history. I then ordered a full Carfax report for this vehicle and was surprised to read that it had been in 2 reported accidents in 2013. Carfax, when contacted, told me that there was no error in their information and refused to disclose the particulars of these 2 claimed accidents.

Kudos to Matt in the Parts department!

At this point, frustrated, I reached out to Secor and waited for their help. Initially, one John McCarthy of Secor Dodge responded that he had contacted the prior owner who had admitted that this vehicle had been involved in an accident prior to its sale to me, but that the accident was minor and only resulted in the repainting of the vehicle's bumper. Mr. McCarthy then promised to get back to me after first consulting with his superiors. No further communication from Mr. McCarthy was forthcoming, for some unknown reason.

We have a specialty car that was only produced for 3 years that needed a special order electronic module. Matt not only stayed on top of unforeseen delays beyond their control but actually just called me now to follow up and make sure everything was all set with the car.

After some prodding, including writing a review of this dealership and contacting FiatChryslerAmerica, I did eventually hear from one Paul Holden of Secor who stated that Secor had no knowledge of the accident and/or resulting repair history of this vehicle prior to their reselling of this vehicle to me.

I've dealt with a lot of dealerships from Oklahoma to San Diego and Hawaii to here. This place is by far the best I've been to. The service department is great. I usually do business with Steve and everything has been quick and easy. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone.

Very nice and couteous staff. Helped out with several different needs without question. A little high on prices like oil change.

I called with concerns about my 1 year old Chrysler Town and Country Van shifting properly. Every person I spoke with in the service department was extremely pleasant. They offered to bring me home when I dropped off the car. They provided a loaner to use during my repair. They kept in contact with me about what was going on. They explained the repair in detail and all of it was covered on warranty. The car runs great now by the way. I would not hesitate to go back!
