I bought a car from steve. He matched my needs and wants on the right car for my family. The finance person helped me get the right loan. They listen to all my desires and worked hard at making sure I was satisfied.

That's when we went into Secor Subaru and sat down with Steve, a breath of fresh air. He was the most straight forward, knowledgable and courteous of everyone we encountered on our first big car-buying venture. We told him what we were looking for (price, fuel economy, etc), and he said forget the Malibu, and showed us a Honda Fit that was love at first sight for my SO. It had literally just come in, so it turned out that wasting time across the street was all for the best. I did a quick internet search, and made a fair offer under their asking price. Steve talked to his manager Carlos, who came over just to shake our hands and congratulate us on our new car. Steve was even able to easily work out some last minute financing kinks for my SO, no problem. They found us the perfect car with a perfect hassle-free experience!

Unfortunately very poor customer service. I don't even know the salesman's name, because he never said it. Said absolutely nothing about the cars when I saw them. Didn't offer to show me features. Didn't describe it. Didn't offer to drive it. I asked him to drive one and he said nothing from the time we got in through the entire drive. I asked what the difference between 2018 and 2017 model was and he said "everything."

My SO and I decided to car shop "the old fashioned way," and ended up talking to sales and management, and test driving cars, from a few lots just around Coleman Street. Our first stop was intially positive, great car and price, but then when we said we'd get back to him/we're shopping around, it was hours of personal anecdotes and ultimately the manager saying they were increasing the price the next day so we really didn't want to go. We really did at that point. Another didn't know much about the cars they had, and settled on an overpriced Malibu for my SO to drive. This sales guys opted for slow moving over chatty, and after I walked over to Secor, and right in front was a better Malibu deal, his manager came over and said he'd make his slightly less overpriced. Eventually we escaped.

I was a first time car buyer and it was easy to get overwhelmed with remembering everything I should and shouldn't do. But these guys were amazing. As soon as I walked in, they treated me very well and were absolutely straightforward. I've had my car for a couple of months now and I've had no unpleasant surprises. They showed me all the safety reports, no hassle, along with anything else I asked for. They did not hassle me into buying, they did not "strong arm" me into adding any costs or signing papers right away. I talked with Steve throughout my experience and I suspect if all car salesmen were like him, people would have just as pleasant an experience as I did. When it came to any decision, he would say, "You don't have to decide now, go home, sleep on it, talk it over, and we'll discuss it more the next time you're here." I'd been to several car dealerships before going to Secor Subaru and it felt the most honest out of all of them. I would, without a doubt, buy a car from them again.

While wasting time with the other guys paid off for my SO and her Honda Fit, why should you bother. Go straight to Secor Subaru and ask for Steve!

The Service Dept has gone far downhill. The people are rude and condescending and dont know what is going on with their own system. They blame the customer for their own ineptness . I have bought cars and had them serviced at Secor for 15 years but that will no longer be the case.
